Stoops: Stephen Johnson's wrist injury is not an issue

Stoops-practice-6 Mark Stoops told his Monday call-in show listeners that quarterback Stephen Johnson is battling a wrist injury. “His wrist is banged up," was the actual quote, I believe. Stoops was asked about his quarterback's wrist after Tuesday's practice, but didn't want to talk about the injury. “I really don’t want to talk about it," he said. "It’s not an issue. He’s got a little banged up. Everybody is banged up and bruised. Nobody here is looking for that excuse, and certainly not Stephen." Johnson was also asked about the injury on Tuesday, and he confirmed he has been experiencing some pain. He told reporters it has bugged him since the Florida game, but it's feeling a lot better these days. You can hear Stoops' and Johnson's post-practice comments below:
