Swaggy Cal shows off special edition Jordan sneakers gifted by DJ Khaled worth $5,000
Last year, Kentucky head coach John Calipari showed off two separate pairs of special edition Jordan shoes gifted by Grammy award-winning rapper and UK fan Drake.
The first pair – the “Kentucky” OVO X Air Jordan 14s – were valued at $25,000 on a third-party auction site, while the second – the “Kentucky Madness” OVO X Air Jordan 8s – were valued at a whopping $40,000.
If you don’t believe me, check out KSR’s post on the matter from last July here.
Today, Swaggy Cal was unleashed once again, as the UK head coach showed off yet another rare shoe gifted by yet another big-name celebrity.
On the various UK basketball social media pages, a video of Calipari unboxing the DJ Khaled special edition Air Jordan 3 Retro “Another One” was posted, including a close-up of the specialized Kentucky briefcase they came in.

Taking a look at third-party reseller Fight Club, the non-Kentucky edition of the shoes are currently valued at a “modest” $5,000.
Back at Big Blue Madness, Calipari actually wore the special edition sneakers, showing them off during his television interview with the SEC Network.
During the interview, he said that unlike his Drake sneakers, DJ Khaled didn’t sign this pair and he needed to catch up with the famous artist soon to make that happen. He also added that all of his rare shoes are under lock-and-key with an alarm system in the Kentucky facilities.
