Syracuse hasn't exactly had a clean record in the past decade, and today, in response to an NCAA investigation,
self-imposed a postseason ban for the 2014-2015 year "as a further means of acknowledging past mistakes." The NCAA investigation started in 2007 when Syracuse self-reported possible violations, the nature of which have not been revealed.
Syracuse's ban means they won't be eligible for the ACC Tournament, the NCAA Tournament, and the NIT. They weren't expected to make the Tournament this year, but still...whatever they're worried will get dug up must be pretty bad.
