Team USA wins fourth consecutive gold medal in FIBA U19 Women's World Cup

The United States of America. Land of the free, home of the four-time defending champions of the FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup.
On Sunday, USA beat Australia 88-76 in the FIBA U19 World Cup Finals to win it’s fourth-straight gold medal in the event. To get to the championship game, the red, white and blue took down Korea, Hungary, Israel, China, France and Spain.
Saniyah Hall, the No. 1 recruit in Rivals’ 2026 women’s basketball recruiting rankings, was arguably USA’s best player throughout the tournament, and she most likely cemented that case in the gold medal game. Against Australia, she led USA with 25 points on 8-16 shooting. She also had nine rebounds, seven assists and two blocks in the win.
Kentucky commit Maddyn Greenway had her best outing of the FIBA U19 World Cup against Korea, when she put up 10 points, a team-high five assists alongside fellow top 2026 point guard Kate Harpring, three steals and two rebounds in 21 minutes of play. Class of 2028 target Sydney Douglas was also on the team, but saw limited playing time.
