Northington planned on making history with his roommate, Middlesboro safety Greg Page.  A tragic neck injury crippled Page, who fought for 38 days until he passed away the evening before the big game.  The tragedy left Northington stunned and he could no longer stay at UK, finishing his playing days at Western Kentucky. Tomorrow Northington will be honored on the field along with African-American pioneers Wilber Hackett and Houston Hogg, as well as Greg Page's brother, Mel.
