Kentucky basketball's multi-team event, last year known as the Keightley Classic, will be called the Cawood Ledford Classic in 2014. UK came up with the name via a Twitter contest last week and made it official today.
Further details will be released at a later time, UK says.
Cawood was the longtime radio play-by-play announcer for UK football and basketball. The Rupp Arena floor is named "Cawood's Court" in his honor.
