If you grew up in Kentucky, you know who Darryl Isaacs is. The Heavy Hitter's ads are as Kentuckian as Derby pie, Ale-8-One, and Purnell's Old Folks Country Sausage.
Last week, Isaacs was injured in a bicycle accident and is recovering at the UofL Hospital. Witnesses say Isaacs was riding his bike on River Road in Louisville and signaled to turn with his left arm when he was struck by a motorist. Isaacs was thrown back on the windshield and on to the pavement. Indian Hills Police Chief Kelly Spratt says he's lucky to be alive.
