It’s about that time, folks, Kentucky set to take on Louisville at the KFC Yum! Center on Tuesday — Mark Pope vs. Pat Kelsey Pt. 2.

Last year lived up to the hype with emotions and high-level basketball, leading to the only result we accept here in Lexington with the Wildcats pulling that one off. What’s in store this time around? The UK Sports Video team dropped the hype video to get you ready, and as expected, it’s a must-see for Big Blue Nation.

It features all four returning Wildcats from last year’s matchup, explaining what this game means to them with a season under their belts already.

“I’d say ‘chaos,'” Otega Oweh said, describing the rivalry in one word. “… We’ve got a state we have to represent. … We’re going into a hostile environment and we’re gonna try to get a road kill. … It’s something that every basketball player lives for. You want to play in those types of moments.”

“The emotions of a huge rivalry between two teams that don’t like each other and fanbases that don’t like each other,” Collin Chandler added. “… We’re fighting for BBN, we’re fighting for Kentucky. … You don’t know how deep it runs.”

How about for an in-state kid who grew up hating the Cards?

“The emotions will be high, it’ll be really intense,” Trent Noah said. “… There is just a different feeling in the gym. … It’s just a different level, especially when you’re a part of it.”

And the guy who got the emotions running hot at Rupp Arena last time around, nearly taking on the entire Louisville team by himself?

“There was never a quiet moment, the gym was electric,” Brandon Garrison added. “… It just means a lot.”

It features all of your favorite UK vs. UofL moments, both new and old. Stop what you’re doing and watch the hype video now:
