[caption id="attachment_255502" align="aligncenter" width="943"] @CRGazetteSports[/caption] Two big upsets in two straight nights have paved the way for UK to reclaim a spot in the top 5 teams nationwide. If you're someone who has intense loyalty to the entire state of Michigan, my sincerest apologies, but it'll be good to see the Cats with a ranking that more accurately reflects their current quality of play. Friday night saw the Wolverines of Michigan visiting the Iowa Hawkeyes, who, upon further reading, actually seem to be pretty good at basketball. They've now notched wins over #24 Wisconsin, #20 Iowa State, and as of now, #5 Michigan. Don't be surprised to see the Hawkeyes jump into the AP poll this week, especially considering that their win over a top-5 team came by 15 points, 74-59. I can't confirm that they were blasting the now ubiquitous "Mo Bamba" over the loud speakers after the game, but I can tell you that the image of a scrawny Iowan kid dancing to that song is very funny to me. https://twitter.com/BarstoolUIowa/status/1091546364079718400 Now, I wouldn't normally celebrate an Indiana basketball victory under almost any circumstances. But the Hoosiers had lost 7 games straight coming into last night. Their chances of making the Big Dance had gone from near certain during the non-conference schedule to careening towards a cliff in Big 10 play. And MSU was without Josh Langford. So, begrudgingly, here are the highlights of IU taking down #6 Michigan State in East Lansing in an OT thriller. Again, I'm only doing this out of pity and because it makes UK look good: https://twitter.com/IndianaMBB/status/1091901059164000257 Please IU, PLEASE commemorate this almost meaningless win somehow. Perhaps a souvenir coffee mug? My sympathies to all the Michiganders out there, but we all know who's more at home in the top 5. Go Cats. @JayWinkKSR
