If the Kentucky Wildcats go to Nashville and upset the 14th-ranked Vanderbilt Commodores, there certainly were signs.

The SEC Network brought its traveling road show to Nashville. There hasn’t exactly been a ton of fanfare for it. On a rainy Friday afternoon, all of three Vanderbilt fans showed up to watch the show.

The atmosphere improved on Saturday morning, when Marty & McGee kicked things off at 8 AM local time. Even though there were more people, they still needed a wake-up call. The Vanderbilt mascot was happy to provide it.

Mr. Commodore hopped on a 4-wheeler near the Alumni Lawn. Instead of spinning out and doing donuts to a round of applause, he threw himself off the ATV.

Fortunately, it appears that the only thing that suffered an injury was Mr. Commodore’s ego. A superstitious person might say that this is an omen. Vanderbilt has been riding high. It’d be a shame if they hit the gas too hard late in the season and lost control, a real shame.
