It didn't take long for John Wall to introduce himself to college basketball.
In his very first game as a Wildcat, he took the ball the length of the court to hit the step-back game-winner against Miami (Ohio) with less than a second remaining.
Miami had just tied the game on a long three-pointer by Nick Winbush (there's a name), who went 8-for-10 from outside in the game.
Afterward, the late Charlie Coles gave us an unforgettable press conference, including the line: "I'm hearing John Wall is the greatest. That's how it got away."
It was all eight long years ago, today.
