It’s finally October, which means it’s almost time for some preseason hoops.

UK Athletics announced Wednesday morning that tickets for Kentucky basketball’s annual Blue-White Game will go on sale this Friday, Oct. 3, at 10:00 a.m. ET. Reserved seats start out at $29.65 — which includes fees — and are available exclusively through Ticketmaster (click here). Prices will vary by seat location.

The Blue-White Game, which will feature both the Kentucky men’s and women’s teams, is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 17, at 7:00 p.m. ET inside Memorial Coliseum. It has yet to be announced if the preseason event will be broadcast on TV. UK states it will include “interactive competitions amongst the teams with fan engagement at the core of the event.”

A limited number of courtside seats will also be available for fans looking for a premium experience. Children two years of age and under will be admitted for free when seated on the lap of a ticketed adult. Members of BBN United will receive presale access beginning on Thursday.

If you’re a current UK student, a limited number of $15 tickets will be available through a lottery system. Details are available now at UKStudentTix.com. The lottery will close Monday, October 6, at noon ET. Also included in UK’s announcement is a teaser for the launch of Kentucky’s new official resale marketplace, which will be powered by Ticketmaster.

The Blue-White Game will be our second preseason look at Mark Pope and Kenny Brooks‘ 2025-26 Wildcats. Preceding that event will be Big Blue Madness, which moved to a Saturday this year (Oct. 11) and will begin at 6:00 p.m. ET on the SEC Network+ inside Rupp Arena. The men’s team will play a couple of exhibitions in Rupp (Purdue, Georgetown) before the regular season begins on Nov. 4 against Nicholls. The women’s team does not have any exhibitions scheduled — their season-opener is Nov. 3 against Morehead State.
