Titan Up, Quinton Bohanna: Tennessee signs former Kentucky defensive lineman

Quinton Bohanna and Will Levis each won Citrus Bowl rings as Kentucky Wildcats but missed playing together at UK by one year. Bohanna, an interior defensive lineman, was a fourth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft as Levis began his two-year career as Kentucky’s QB in Lexington.
Now, the former Wildcats will chase a ring together as Tennessee Titans after the Titans signed Bohanna on Wednesday. The former Dallas Cowboys draft pick played two seasons in Dallas but slipped down the roster heading into 2023, the third year of his four-year rookie deal. Bohanna was waived before the start of the season and picked up by the Detroit Lions as a practice squad player. He was elevated to play in three games earlier this season.
Bohanna now gets a third shot in the league, this time near his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. He and Keondre Coburn, a defensive lineman from Kansas City’s practice roster, replace cornerback Kristian Fulton and defensive lineman Kyle Peko on the Titans’ 53-man roster, per the team’s website.

The signing comes as the Titans need help inside with the injury to Peko, who is likely to miss the rest of the season. Big Jeffery Simmons is also out temporarily.
Only in his third year, Bohanna has already played in 30 NFL games, tallying 35 total tackles. At Kentucky, he played in 45 career games with 33 starting assignments, including 27 straight starts. A team captain, Bohanna finished his career with 59 tackles, nine tackles for loss, two sacks, four pass breakups, three quarterback hurries, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.
