Top Seed Open Recap: Coco advances on Williams Sister Eve

The No. 2 seed in the tournament went down to the youngest player in the top 100, half of the quarterfinalists were decided, and we are one sleep away from Serena vs. Venus for the 31st time. Here's a rundown of the day's action from the Top Seed Open at the Top Seed Tennis Club in Brannon Crossing:   -- We have a quarterfinalist! Two of them! No. 8 seed Ons Jabeur and Marie Bouzkova are each in the quarters after Jabeur knocked out Olga Govortsova, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4, and Bouzkova ended Anna Blinkova's fun, 6-4, 6-2. But wait, there's more! -- 16-year-old American Coco Gauff pulled off the upset of Aryna Sabalenka, the tournament's No. 2 seed, to advance to the quarterfinals. Gauff won by breaking Sabalenka's serve and a 4-4 tie in the third set. She'd hold serve to take the match, 7-6, 4-6, 6-4.
