Kentucky LB Trevin Wallace is in Day 2 range for NFL Draft

Kentucky defensive back Andru Phillips is currently the odds-on favorite to become the first Wildcat off the board at the 2024 NFL Draft. That will likely come on Day 2. However, there is another former Kentucky defensive player who could join Phillips on Day 2.
Former high four-star recruit Trevin Wallace was a massive recruiting win for Kentucky in the 2021 cycle. Over three seasons, the South Georgia native played in 36 career games (1,307 defensive snaps) earning 19 starting assignments. Wallace recorded 166 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles while playing for defensive coordinator Brad White. Wallace has a chance to sneak into the third round at the 2024 NFL Draft next weekend in Detroit.
The Athletic’s Dane Brugler ranked Trevin Wallace as the No. 86 overall player and No. 3 off-ball linebacker in this draft class in his in-depth draft guide called “The Beast”. That gives the linebacker a third-round range. Teams are also showing legitimate interest.
On Wednesday, the San Francisco 49ers hosted Trevin Wallace for a visit. The NFC West franchise owns picks No. 94 and No. 100 in the third round.

The Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, Carolina Panthers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers also reportedly hosted the Kentucky product on a top-30 visit. Kentucky should see two defensive players come off the board on Day 2 at the 2024 NFL Draft.
