The 300-pound prospect had a very busy June as Tristan Cook camped at Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, Purdue, Wisconsin, and Vanderbilt. Instead of waiting out into the season, Cook decided to pledge to the Cardinals. Ball State offered the prospect in March, got Cook on campus for a spring visit in April, and wrapped up the recruitment on an official visit in June. The MAC program won a league title in 2020 and has been to consecutive bowl games under Neu.
The state of Kentucky now has ten 2023 prospects committed to FBS programs after the Tristan Cook announcement with many more expected to come soon.
