Tuesday Night in UK land.....

I dont have time tonight for a full feature "News and Views" and Wednesday gives us "Need to Know Wednesday" so we have some quick hits. The picture is the notorious Kentucky hater John Feinstein, who today on the wonderful Tony Kornheiser show, called Kentucky "one of the worst jobs in college basketball." I cant even begin to express my level of distaste for Feinstein the media personality. He is smug, overbearing, obnoxious and has a grudge against Kentucky dating back to his student days following the 1978 Duke team. He is however a great writer.....and that makes him frustrating. I cant stand to hear his voice, but I usually love his written words....a tough spot to be in. But the good thing about "Junior" is this.....he is easily mockable, as the picture above shows. Four quick notes.... Darius Miller was one of the visitors at UK this past weekend. I am told that Darius wants to narrow his list of schools down to three for his final decision. From what I understand, Kentucky WILL be one of those three. Rotnei Clarke has been given an offer by Kentucky. The three point specialist is now firmly on UK's radar and could be packaged with standout Willie Warren. Dashan Harris, a 6 foot 2008 point guard visited UK this past weekend according to Evan Daniels on our Sports Mob show. He is the 9th ranked point guard in the class, is out of Florida and is being recruited heavily by Florida State and Indiana, among other schools. I spoke with someone today who said the staff is very high on Ramon Harris, which confirms a hint given by Coach Cyprien on our show a few weeks ago. They love his athleticism and ability in the open court. It will be interesting to see if he develops through the year.
