Tuesday's Top 10: Rick wants to run, Cal wants his team to play defense, and I want refs to stop making bad calls

1. Calipari will preview the Louisville game
Cal and select players will address the media around 11:30 a.m. Check the site for a live stream then, or a full recap of their comments afterwards.2. Hopefully he'll be as swaggy as he was on his call-in show
If you missed it, Cal was once again in rare form on his call-in show, claiming he didn't know Malik Monk had scored 47 points until he got on the plane to go home (BS) and describing his reaction to Kentucky's defense at times as "Oh Poop!". In terms of actual news, there wasn't much, other than he's still toying around the idea of using a four-guard lineup to involve Mychal Mulder, but that's probably because of the lack of production Kentucky's getting from Wenyen Gabriel/Derek Willis/Sacha Killeya-Jones/Isaac Humphries at the four position.3. Karl Towns is not happy with Kentucky's defense
During a rant about his defense, Calipari mentioned a text conversation he had with Karl Towns in which Karl said he couldn't believe this team let North Carolina score 100 on them, and how that would never happen with the 38-1 group. Cal's mentioned the budding rivalry between his teams, but all comments like this make me think is how amazing would it be if this team's offense was combined with that team's defense? Talk about a super team.4. We'll find out the line for the game
Any guesses? I say Kentucky will be a five or six point favorite, although I feel like they'll win by much more than that.5. Rick Pitino wants to run with the Cats
Over the weekend, Rick Pitino said he wants his team to run with the Cats, which I didn't really believe when I saw it, but then he doubled down on it in his call-in show last night, reiterating that he wants his squad to try and keep up with Kentucky, which currently ranks third in the country in scoring at 95.2 points per game while Louisville ranks 89th with 78.5 points per game. I'm still not sure if this is Pitino BSing or if he's actually serious (always hard to tell with him), but if he's serious, I say bring it on.6. The ref called a foul on this play last night
https://vine.co/v/52F2jBPgznq We joke about Duke getting calls all the time, but this phantom foul from last night's Duke/Tennessee game takes the cake. Absolutely ridiculous. And people wonder why we hate Duke and Grayson Allen. Speaking of Duke...7. Episode two of "Cal Cast" is up featuring Coach K
We got a sneak peek of Calipari and Coach K's 30-minute discussion via ESPN yesterday, including Coach K taking up for DeMarcus Cousins and praising his determination to make Team USA. The full episode was just released on iTunes, Podbay, Stitcher, etc. so tune in and check back for a recap a little later on.8. One last media opp until the bowl game
Yesterday, Eddie Gran addressed the media after bowl practice, and today, DJ Eliot will do the same in the team's last media opp until the bowl on New Year's Eve. There wasn't a lot of news out of Gran's appearance, but Stoops did break down the team's schedule for the next week and a half on his call-in show later in the night. The players will get to go home for a little bit right before Christmas, but they'll arrive in Jacksonville Christmas night. The practice schedule will be similar to a normal game week, with lots of fun stuff for the guys to do in between, like tour a naval station and goof around at Top Golf. Freddie Maggard said something about a gator tail eating competition too, which I feel like needs to be seen to be believed. Also, Matt Elam's got this.9. Speaking of bowls, love this picture Rich Brooks posted yesterday
