We are now less than a week away from the NFL Draft. Where exactly is Will Levis going to go? KSR tries to answer the elusive question.

Next week a three-person crew of KSR Football experts will be making the pilgrimage to Kansas City for the NFL Draft. Ahead of the trip, Adam Luckett and I fielded questions from listeners in a Mailbag edition of 11 Personnel. After talking about it, one person asked us to be about it and predict where Will Levis will land in the first round of next week’s NFL Draft.

Roush, Indianapolis Colts: Nobody has risen up and down mock drafts as much as Will Levis. That volatility was fun, but all for not. The team that he was initially slotted to will ultimately be the one that lands him. GM Chris Ballard likes big quarterbacks and there have been reports that he is No. 2 on their NFL Draft wish list behind only Bryce Young.

Additionally, the Colts have a run game that can provide Levis some early support. Head coach Shane Steichen was successful implementing the QB run game with Jalen Hurts in Philly and can do the same for Levis in Indy. It all makes too much sense.

Luckett, Mystery Trade Team: The Seahawks and Vikings both have former Rams’ coaches calling plays and again quarterbacks near the end of their contracts. Either would be a great fit for Will Levis. However, “It feels like somebody’s going to trade up to get him, like the Titans.” The Bucs and Patriots could also fit this mold. It’s just a guessing game at this point to pin down exactly who is willing to give up a lot to secure Levis’ services, but it feels inevitable.

Will Levis Posts Impressive S2 Cognitive Score

The S2 Cognitive Test is the modern version of the Wonderlic. Unlike its predecessor that’s given out to all players at the NFL Combine, the S2 Cognitive test is used to determine a quarterback’s ability to quickly process information. So much of the position is dependent on a player’s ability to read and react. This test is the new barometer for that skill.

A few S2 Cognitive test scores have been leaked and Will Levis was one of the best of the best. According to Albert Breer, the former Kentucky quarterback scored a 93, just a few points behind Bryce Young‘s score of 98. These scores are comparable to what Joe Burrow, Justin Fields and Josh Allen posted during their pre-draft process. Meanwhile, veteran NFL reporter Bob McGinn shared that CJ Stroud only scored an 18.

How much does it matter? We’ll find out in less than a week.
