TyTy Washington listed as "day-to-day" ahead of Mississippi State game
TyTy Washington missed nearly 30 minutes of Kentucky’s 80-71 loss to Auburn on Saturday afternoon, leaving with an ankle injury that he did not return from.
Over 24 hours later, we now have a better idea of Washington’s status moving forward. A source tells KSR that UK’s star freshman guard is currently listed as “day-to-day”. Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog first reported that Washington is currently day-to-day.
Kentucky (15-4, 5-2) is scheduled to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs (13-5, 4-2) on Tuesday afternoon at 9:00 p.m. EST inside of Rupp Arena. That would give Washington a little over three full days to recover.

The injury occurred at the 8:20 mark in the first half against Auburn. Washington drove to the middle of the floor where he rose up for a mid-range jumper, that he made, before landing awkwardly on his left ankle, appearing to roll it forward once he hit the hardwood. He was seen walking under his own power back to the locker room but did not return to the floor.
Kentucky held a nine-point lead over Auburn when Washington went out. The Tigers would outscore UK by 18 points the rest of the way. Washington is the Wildcats’ second-leading scorer at 13.6 points per outing on 50.5 percent shooting. He also averages 3.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.
