UK announces date for this year's Blue-White Game

After UK announced the date for the 2025 edition of Big Blue Madness on Thursday, they dropped more scheduling news on Friday.
The Kentucky men’s and women’s basketball annual Blue-White preseason game will be held on Friday, Oct. 17, inside Memorial Coliseum. That’ll be six days after this year’s Big Blue Madness, which went away from tradition by holding the preseason event on a Saturday instead of a Friday. BBM is locked in for Saturday, Oct. 11, at Rupp Arena.
A start time and ticket information for both the Blue-White Game and Big Blue Madness will be announced at a later date.

Big Blue Madness and the Blue-White Game will serve as the unofficial kickoff events of the 2025-26 basketball season. For Mark Pope‘s squad, Kentucky men’s basketball will host Purdue (Oct. 24) and Georgetown (Oct. 30) in exhibitions ahead of the season-opener against Nicholls on Nov. 4. Kenny Brooks and his women’s basketball team will get the regular season rolling on Nov. 3 against Morehead State.
Where Big Blue Madness is more about having fun with the fans and drumming up excitement for the season, the Blue-White Game provides an opportunity for the Big Blue Nation to get a better look at what the actual on-court product will look like. The scrimmage setup won’t be comparable to a live game setting, but for us basketball-starved fans, we’ll take whatever we can get.
