UK football bowl practice notes

joker Let's take a quick peek at some notes from today's football practice for the Cats as they begin preparing for their bowl game on January 8th. I've scraped together what I could find via twitter, etc., so here's what we know: ---Mike Hartline was present at the practice in sweats and helped the quarterbacks despite being suspended for the bowl game. ---Speaking of QB's, 2010 recruit Max Smith was also present. Smith greyshirted this season and will enroll in January and can practice with the team up until the bowl game. ---Another greyshirt, former Central (Louisville) linebacker Tim Patterson was also at practice and he's eligible to train with the team as well although today apparently he was mostly observing and doing conditioning. ---One note worth taking away is that Joker said the defense will remain a base 4-3 and not switch to a 3-4 as some had suspected with the addition of Rick Minter. ---And finally, the team has still not said anything about Mister Cobble's eligibility for the bowl game. Cobble was ruled academically ineligible for this season but still has the best name ever. This was mostly shamelessly summarized from the twitter accounts of Brett Dawson (@wildcats) and Chip Cosby (@chipcosby).
