Remember when a drone crashed into Commonwealth Stadium last year? That was crazy, wasn't it?
Well, Peyton Wilson, the UK Law student who crashed the drone into the suite level of the stadium, reached a settlement in the case yesterday. According to WKYT,
Wilson accepted a plea agreement and pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of third-degree criminal trespassing and paid the $100 fine.
The original charge was second-degree wanton endangerment, which UK Police said was appropriate considering the number of people in the stadium and the emergency evasive measures the parachutists coming into the stadium had to take to avoid the drone. Thankfully, no one was hurt and there wasn't any damage. (Except to maybe Wilson's pride.)
