This summer you'll get to know a future Kentucky quarterback like never before.
KSR has learned the Nik Scalzo will be one of three quarterbacks featured in the third season of the Netflix documentary series,
QB1: Beyond the Lights.
Created by Peter Berg, the mastermind behind Friday Night Lights, QB1 takes viewers behind the scenes through the recruitments of the nation's top quarterback prospects. The first installment highlighted a household name, Georgia's Jake Fromm, and the future of Ohio State football, Tate Martell. Season 2 premieres in April with former Georgia quarterback Justin Fields as the focal point.

Scalzo will receive the spotlight just before his first season of football begins in the Bluegrass. The undersized three-star recruit broke records and beat rivals on his way to a state championship, but his season ended early after he tore his ACL against arch-rival American Heritage. He
dramatically played through the injury in a come from behind playoff victory.
Scalzo's story is not short on drama. You'll be able to see it all when the series premieres August 2019 on Netflix.
