It’s been almost one month since Kentucky wide receivers coach Jovon Bouknight was arrested in Northern Kentucky for speeding, possession of an open alcoholic container, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence. Today, head coach Mark Stoops told reporters at the Schlarman Strong/Kentucky Football Alumni Golf event that Bouknight has been suspended without pay since the incident on May 8, his first offense. Stoops added that he will update Bouknight’s status at a later date.

Bouknight, now entering his second season in Lexington, is Kentucky’s third wide receivers coach in the last four seasons. In January, there were conflicting reports that the former Oregon assistant may be on his way out, but Stoops chose to keep him on staff for continuity; for now, that is still the case.

We’ll have more updates from Stoops as the afternoon goes on.
