Uniform Watch: Kentucky’s Look for the Georgia Game

Kentucky is hitting the road for the second straight week in SEC play. The Wildcats rocked all-white uniforms against South Carolina. They’re changing things up for the road trip to Georgia.

On Saturday afternoon at Sanford Stadium, Kentucky is using a uniform combination we saw often early in the Mark Stoops era, but hasn’t been as common in recent years. The Wildcats will be wearing blue helmets and pants with white jerseys. Kentucky is 6-19 under Stoops when they wear blue blue britches with white jerseys.

In this Kentucky football fan’s opinion, there isn’t a better look. Some folks like the all-whites or an alternate look. I prefer some contrast in my uniforms. This has great balance. Maybe it’ll lead to a balanced offensive attack between the hedges?

Georgia will be rocking its traditional home look. The Dawgs have one of the best helmets in the game with the ginormous G on the red lid. They’ll wear red jerseys and silver pants to complete the look.

The early kickoff means it’ll be an early Cat Walk for Kentucky fans who travel to Georgia. You can greet the team when they arrive at Sanford Stadium at approximately 9:45 AM ET. The entrance is at Gate 5, which is located near the railroad tracks at the bottom of the hill, opposite of the campus store where Georgia marches through a sea of fans in red.
