Another former Kentucky Wildcat is teaming up with Rich Paul and the popular Klutch Sports Group.

On Tuesday, it was announced that Utah Jazz forward Jarred Vanderbilt is now a client for Klutch Sports, joining the likes of Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Boston Jr., Anthony Davis, Trey Lyles, Tyrese Maxey, and John Wall as one-time ‘Cats signed with the agency. Vanderbilt, who will be an unrestricted free agent following the 2023-24 season, was previously presented by Bill Duffy of BDA Sports Management.

Vanderbilt joins a star-studded list of Klutch clients that goes beyond the former Kentucky players. LeBron James headlines a group that includes Lonzo Ball, Anthony Edwards, Darius Garland, Draymond Green, Zach LaVine, Dejounte Murray, and plenty more.

Ahead of the 2021-22 season, Vanderbilt signed a three-year, $13 million deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Alongside Karl-Anthony Towns in the frontcourt, he would play the best basketball of his career in year one of that deal, averaging 6.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 58.7 percent from the field. However, in July, Vanderbilt was shipped to the Utah Jazz in a blockbuster deal that sent multi-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert to Minnesota.

Vanderbilt, 23, still has two more years on his current contract before entering unrestricted free agency. He’s set to earn $4.32 million this coming season in 2022-23 before making $4.64 million in 2023-24. The 6-foot-9 athletic forward figures to slide into an immediate role with the Jazz, which could be on the verge of a full-on rebuild if the franchise decides to trade All-Star Donovan Mitchell.

If Vanderbilt continues to improve at the rate he has over the last two seasons, Rich Paul is going to get him paid.
