This past summer megastar and Kentucky basketball fan, Drake, released two pairs of limited edition Air Jordan 8's dubbed "the Calipari pack" as a tribute to Kentucky basketball, and, obviously, Coach Cal. This didn't come as a surprise because Drake has had a partnership with Jordan for the past few years, and while Jordan isn't Kentucky's "brand", it does fall under the Nike tree. So it was only a matter of time before we got this collaboration.
This collaboration does come with a catch though. Yes, this was a limited released shoe but resellers such as Flight Club have gotten their hands on some pairs. If you were wondering the asking price, what would you guess? a few hundred? Try forty thousand American dollars.
Drake and his clothing line have been known to produce some expensive items, but this takes the cake by far. If you want to get your hands on the Calipari Pack, be ready to fork over $40,000. But, does this further solidify that Coach Cal has the most swag of any basketball coach in America? I would think so. I don't see Coach K having a shoe, especially one that sells for $40,000.
