WATCH: Calipari, Wheeler, and Brooks preview the Kansas game
It’s Big 12/SEC Challenge season and this year’s matchup has Kentucky Basketball on a flight to Lawrence, Kansas, as we speak. Saturday night, the Wildcats will play the fifth-ranked Kansas Jayhawks with ESPN College Gameday in town to preview the game before tip-off.
Before take-off, John Calipari and two of his players previewed the game in Friday’s pre-Kansas press conference in Lexington. Calipari was joined by SEC veterans Sahvir Wheeler and Keion Brooks to discuss the team’s trip out to Big 12 country for a huge opportunity.
Calipari also provided an injury update (sort of) and it wasn’t an encouraging one. He revealed a new team strategy for calling screens and looked back on his time as a Kansas assistant too.
