WATCH: Grady casually shooting from the first row of Colonial Life Arena in pregame walkthrough

Kellan Grady has reached a new stage in his metamorphosis into Steph Curry.
The Grady-to-Curry transformation process began with Grady’s enrollment at Curry’s alma mater, Davidson, where both Curry and Grady scored over 2,000 points in their college careers as Wildcats. As Grady began to make a name for himself in Curry’s old spot, he credited Curry as the inspiration behind the work. As recent as last week, Grady pointed to Curry as someone he and his father would watch on tape to develop Grady’s shooting stroke.
As the metamorphosis continued, Grady had a very Curry-like performance with seven 3-pointers in one game for Kentucky earlier this season. Currently, he is on a run with four 3-pointers in four of the last six games, and he’s been spotted doing that no-look, turnaround thing Curry does while the ball is still in the air.

Now, Grady is shooting from unsanctioned spots on the floor during pregame walkthroughs, again straight from the Curry playbook. On Saturday, he hit one from behind the bench at Alabama; today, he is throwing fire from the first row of South Carolina’s Colonial Life Arena.
Stay hot, Kellan, and #ShootEmAll.
(Maybe the Curry comparisons are a bit premature but it’s a cool game day video to hold you over until tipoff.)
