WATCH: Highlights, Rapid Reaction, and postgame interviews from La Familia's first-round TBT win
La Familia had no issues advancing to the second round of The Basketball Tournament, obliterating Stroh’s Squad 105-52 on Friday night in Memorial Coliseum.
The Kentucky alums played well in the opening half, but picked up the energy after the intermission, outscoring Stroh’s Squad by 38 points in the second half. Archie Goodwin led the way with 19 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds, but everyone was eating across the board. La Familia shot 54.9 percent from the field with Ansley Almonor closing out the win on an Elam Ending three-pointer. The energy radiating from the crowd was infectious from the opening tip and didn’t stop until well after the final buzzer.
Overall, it was a fun night for the Big Blue Nation filled with winning basketball and nonstop cheering of their favorite former ‘Cats.
