Watch Jacquez Jones knock the snot out of SEC opponents

Jacquez Jones is officially a Kentucky Wildcat. In three years at Ole Miss, the Rebels’ leading tackle in 2020 and SEC All-Freshman selection in 2018 produced quite a few highlights. While Adam Luckett breaks down the tape in the KSR Film Room, let’s just sit back and enjoy what Jones has to offer from an elementary perspective.
In 2019 the linebacker wore #10 and was rarely fooled by misdirection.
In his sophomore season he was mic’d up for a practice ahead of their road trip to his hometown of Tuscaloosa.
Some of his best work is done on kickoffs. I can’t decide which hit hurts more to watch, this one in Death Valley…
Here’s the hit by Jacquez Jones that’s under review for targeting. Trey Palmer loses the helmet.
Brutal hit. #LSU called for a penalty on the play as well. pic.twitter.com/DkmCKsoOVN

He doesn’t just lower the boomstick. Jones shows great discipline by playing in this tight end’s hip pocket, ready to strike and force the pass deflection.

Jared Pinkney could be the first tight end off the board in the 2020 draft. #OleMiss held him to one catch.
A lot of the time, it was Jacquez Jones in coverage on Pinkney, as he was in this play where his tip nearly forces an interception pic.twitter.com/VERJR9nnaY

As a true freshman, he showed off that quick reaction time and aggressiveness by forcing a fumble against SE Louisiana.
Well here’s the positives of Jacquez Jones’ aggression. Ball comes out at the end here. pic.twitter.com/2gZl8KzbQD

Last year Vanderbilt tried to lull the Rebels to sleep with a screen, but Jones was not fooled, creating contact with the Commodore running back at the line of scrimmage.
