WATCH: John Calipari, Kentucky players break down win over Louisville

There would be no stunning upset from Louisville on Thursday night at the KFC Yum! Center. The Cardinals kept the game close in the opening 10 minutes, but by halftime, it was a 20-point lead for No. 9 Kentucky. The end result was a 95-76 win for the Wildcats over its in-state rival.
After the action, head coach John Calipari met with reporters to break down the victory. He showed support for Louisville head coach Kenny Payne (who’s sitting on a smoldering hot seat), praised the improved play of freshman Justin Edwards, provided an eligibility update on 7-foot-2 freshman Zvonimir Ivisic, and much more.

Once Calipari wrapped up, fifth-year veterans Tre Mitchell and Antonio Reeves took the stage to talk about their performances and the team’s win. Both players were excellent for the ‘Cats, with Mitchell recording an 18-point, 12-rebound double-double and Reeves dropping a season-high 30 points.
