WATCH: Kahlil Whitney, DeAndre Liggins and more talk TBT at La Familia Media Day

La Familia’s second run in The Basketball Tournament begins Friday night in Lexington. As the Kentucky alums (mixed in with some new faces) prepare for a chance to win the $1 million, winner-takes-all grand prize, they first held a media session on Monday afternoon to share their thoughts on how they can pull it off after a semifinal finish last summer.

The conversation didn’t just revolve around TBT, though. Notably, Kahlil Whitney talked about his decision to leave Kentucky during the middle of his freshman season in 2019-20 and why he’s excited to be back in front of the Big Blue Nation. We also heard from former ‘Cats who were not on last season’s La Familia roster, such as DeAndre Liggins, Doron Lamb, and Archie Goodwin. Ansley Almonor is back in town, too, after his lone season with Kentucky came to an end just a few months ago.
