WATCH: Liam Coen, Kentucky offense preview Mississippi State

Kentucky didn’t come up with the win against Tennessee, but if there was a silver lining from the loss, it was how the offense finally stepped up — particularly the quarterback play.
Devin Leary went 28-39 for 372 passing yards and a pair of touchdowns with zero interceptions. It was, without a doubt, his best game so far as a Wildcat. Sophomore wide receiver Dane Key had his best showing of the year too with seven catches for 113 yards and a score. The passing game finally looked like what everyone had expected coming into the season.
Now, Kentucky has to do it all again this Saturday on the road against Mississippi State — hopefully with a bounce-back performance from running back Ray Davis.
Ahead of the critical SEC matchup, Kentucky offensive coordinator Liam Coen, wide receivers coach Scott Woodward, and several of the Wildcats’ pass-catchers (some dressed in their Halloween costumes) spoke with reporters following Tuesday’s practice to preview the Bulldogs’ defense.

“It’s a paint in the butt. It is. It’s a pain in the butt,” Coen said about Mississippi State’s defense. “I have a lot of respect for those guys, what they’ve done defensively over the last few years, playing against them two years ago. It’s a tough, weird defense that you don’t see every week. It’s almost just different structures every play.”
Kentucky hasn’t beaten Mississippi State in Starkville since 2008. Does that change this weekend? You can hear everything else that Coen, Woodward, and the Kentucky players had to say about the Bulldogs in the videos below.
