WATCH: Lynn Bowden's message to the Big Blue Nation following the Belk Bowl win
An emotional Lynn Bowden took the stage during the Belk Bowl trophy ceremony to accept his MVP award with his son. After an epic performance that included 34 carries for 233 yards, two touchdowns on the ground, 6-12 through the air for another 73 yards and a passing touchdown, Bowden paused to collect himself before addressing the crowd on the microphone.

“Y’all see, I’m going to watch my language. For the future of this team and everybody around the world that’s watching this, stop disrespecting us because we like that, you hear?
“You all have to understand it’s a process. You know what I’m saying? It’s a process. Like I said, come see about it, you heard me?
“My final game in Big Blue, in this Kentucky Blue man, I want to thank everybody out here, I want to thank my teammates. You took a kid from Youngstown, Ohio and turned him into a man. I’ll never forget that.”
Bowden also took a lap around the field to shake hands with fans:
