WATCH: March Madness Confidential Goes Behind the Scenes for UK NCAA Tournament Prep

Ever wanted to go inside the Kentucky basketball locker room as the Wildcats prepare for the NCAA Tournament? Well, today is your lucky day.
Throughout the postseason a documentary crew is embedded with John Calipari’s team to shine a light on the Wildcats few rarely see. The first edition of March Madness Confidential is set in Lexington. Before the action begins in Indianapolis, we get a look at how the second-seeded Wildcats are preparing after two years without an NCAA Tournament.
There are a few things that stand out in the brief, 2-minute clip from March Madness Confidential.
First and foremost, this confirms remarks Calipari made on Monday night’s call-in show. In order to completely press the reset button following a poor performance against Tennessee, Calipari ran a 5-on-5 scrimmage. They also did hustle drills with individuals flying on the floor, diving after loose balls. It’s not unprecedented, but it’s rare to see Calipari really get after it this late into the season.

We also got to hear John Calipari play “fill in the blank” with his team. A game typically he subjects to the media is one his players must also play during team meetings.
March Madness Confidential will be following Kentucky and six other schools throughout the NCAA Tournament. They’ll be featured during broadcasts on CBS and Turner Sports, like in-between last night’s First Four. You can also check out all of the content on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. It’s a high quality production, but is it as bold as this?
