WATCH: SEC Media Days Tailgate with Cole Cubelic

You smell that smell? Smells like Kentucky football is right around the corner, and that’s why we’re whipping up some SEC football talk with Cole Cubelic.
The College Football Hall of Fame is the host for this year’s event in Atlanta. Radio Row (now called the Digital Drive) takes up all of the space on the second floor, which is essentially the entire exhibit area for the museum.
At Kentucky Sports Radio, we vow to deliver Kentucky basketball and football news in the most ridiculous manner possible. That is why Cole Cubelic and I decided to whip up some fake food at the College Football Hall of Fame tailgate before chatting Cats.
Make no mistake about it, there aren’t many teams out there with less buzz at this event than Kentucky. That is why you can only trust the best and brightest to discuss this year’s Wildcats. Cubelic has done his homework, and he believes Kentucky will be better than expected. No, that doesn’t mean this is a 9-win team, but the bottom is not falling out.
“This could be Mark Stoops going back to a little bit of what he hung his hat on when he first got into the league, and that is, we’re going to be that team that you don’t want to meet in the back alley,” said Cubelic. “Physicality with what they brought in along the line of scrimmage, with what they brought in at tight end, what they brought in physically at some of the running back and other places on defense.”

Kentucky tried to level up within the league by adding more top-notch athletes, and they forgot what made them successful in the first place. Getting back to what works for Mark Stoops could work out for the Wildcats in 2025.
