For the first time ever, the KSR Game of the Week traveled to Louisville for one of the state’s top rivarlies.

L&N Stadium set the stage Friday night for a showdown between No. 1 Trinity (5-1) and No. 3 St. Xavier (3-2). With over 16,000 fans in attendance to watch a pair of top-three teams go head-to-head, it was the Shamrocks that came out with a 35-24 win over the Tigers. Trinity’s junior quarterback Zane Johnson led his crew to the Shillelagh Trophy thanks to 24-34 passing with 283 yards and three touchdowns, two of those scores going to junior wide-out Jason Hagan. On the other end of the field, the Shamrocks’ defense gave up just 118 total yards to St. Xavier.

If you missed out on the action, we’re here to save the day. KSR video intern Sterling Hohman went back into the lab to craft this must-watch highlight video below. Trinity remains the team to beat in the state of Kentucky.
