WATCH: Trent Noah will win Kentucky games again with his shooting

After stepping up in big moments for Kentucky as a true freshman last season, Trent Noah is running it back with the Wildcats as one of Mark Pope‘s few returning pieces.
Due to seemingly endless injuries for Pope’s crew in 2024-25, Noah was given an opportunity to take advantage of unexpected playing time. He appeared in 24 games, half of them coming against SEC competition. The 6-foot-5 Harlan County product averaged 2.7 points and 1.9 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per contest while shooting 45.1 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from deep. His best showing was an 11-point outing (3-4 3PT) in a home win against Tennessee.
What will Noah’s role look like as a sophomore in 2025-26? Kentucky is expected to be a deeper team compared to last season. Noah will be battling with several of his teammates for minutes off the bench. He’s been lauded this offseason as Kentucky’s best outside shooter, and that alone could be enough to get him on the hardwood early, but he’ll have to earn every second of his playing time.
