Watch Trevin Wallace Fake Out Auburn and Commit to Kentucky

Surrounded by family and friends at Wayne County High School in South Georgia, Trevin Wallace pulled one over on the crowd.
During Wednesday morning’s ceremony he had three footballs on the table: Ole Miss, Auburn and Kentucky. He actually set aside the neon UK football, leaving Auburn as the final team. The crowd applauded, then paused when he unzipped his jacket.

“Got em!” Is what I’m sure Wallace was thinking at the time. What exactly was he thinking when he chose Kentucky? He explained it all to Rivals’ Chad Simmons, starting with his relationship with inside linebackers coach Jon Sumrall.
“Coach Sumrall was the one. He reached out to my mom and dad every morning, he answered all their questions, and he made all of us feel comfortable,” Wallace told Rivals.

“He promised my parents he would look after me, he told them he would treat me like I am his son, he built that trust, and we all love him. Coach Sumrall is a great man, and I feel he can mold me into a man with great character. I will get to work with him on and off the field, and I know he will push me hard every day.”
