Wayne Chism Will Play and Other Notes

by:Anthony Wireman02/26/10
Lexington's one and only Jerry Tipton reported this morning that Wayne Chism is expected to play for Tennessee tomorrow. Chism was banged up in the last game and has not practiced at full speed this week, but he will be in the lineup for the Volunteers. I imagine a banged up Chism leading to situations similar to the photo above. A wounded Chism against Patterson and Cousins is like a wounded wildebeest trying to escape a couple of hungry lions. Couple of Friday evening notes: - DeMarcus Cousins and John Wall to return to Kentucky for sophomore season? John Calipari said today that Cousins really wants to return to Kentucky. After I fainted and fell out of my chair, I recovered to read that he thinks Wall wants to return, as well. I have just now pulled it together enough to add it to this post. Thanks for link from a reader in the comments section! On a serious note, I had heard the rumor last weekend that Cousins really, truly wants to return to Kentucky. I said at the time to not hold your breath, but is it possible that the rumor was true? Can you imagine having both/either of these players back for another run? - I posted a few hours ago that John Wall needed your help as he was trailing Evan Turner in an ESPN online poll by 1,000 points. At last check, Wall now leads Turner by approximately 41,000 points. Ahhhh, the power of KSR. Keep voting Big Blue Nation - Andy Hutchins of SportingNews.com says R.I.P to the John Wall Dance. He says: "I was among the first to celebrate the John Wall Dance last fall, and I warned you a couple of Saturdays ago that it had become officially uncool. Now, I come to bury the John Wall Dance, not to praise it." Hutchins says the reasons the dance is now dead are: 1) Cash's "Do Da John Wall" song on YouTube and 2) Magic Johnson doing the dance last night at Rupp Arena. He says Magic doing the dance is the equivalent of Tim Tebow dotting the "i" in Script Ohio. I curse in Hutchins' general direction and say long live the John Wall Dance! - A victim in the UK ticket scam involving ex-Cat Derrick Miller has given his side of the story to Lex18.com. The story is a pretty sad one and makes me sad that one of my favorite Cats back in the day would resort to something like this. - We need someone to help Kentucky collect its 44th SEC regular season championship.
