According to the hardworking people over at WDRB in Louisville, a grand jury is hearing evidence from the University of Louisville's sex scandal (the one involving Katina Powell, not any of the other sex scandals) today.
WDRB's Jason Riley said he is hearing
prosecutors are looking into evidence on three people involved. Katina Powell and Andre McGee are two of the three; the other is a mystery.
Here's an excerpt
from the report:
Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Chris Foster, who is in charge of a unit that prosecutes crimes against children, is handling the case.
Commonwealth's Attorney Tom Wine has said the allegations from the book cause "grave concern to me and this community."
"If my office receives credible evidence of sexual abuse or other criminal activity involving minor children, we will vigorously prosecute those responsible for those crimes." [WDRB]
Ya catch that? "Vigorously prosecute those responsible for those crimes." That could be a big plot twist in this whole thing, taking it from an NCAA basketball problem to a criminal problem for some of the guilty parties.
