Well It's Georgia Week

index Just when you thought Kentucky couldn’t become any more depleted for the game on Saturday, they seem to find a way. The recent story in the saga is the dismissal of Raymond Sanders and the suspensions of Jason Hatcher, Demarco Robinson, and Cody Quinn. These are all big parts of Kentucky’s game plan that will not be on the field against the Bulldogs. While there is no bowl game on the line, this kind of behavior is completely inexcusable. In the press break it says that they are being suspended for breaking team rules repeatedly. It doesn’t take Lee Corso to figure out that this Kentucky team is already playing from behind because of the simple fact that we are not nearly as deep as any other team that we play in the SEC. So what do our players do, they go and dig an even deeper hole for us to try and play out of. This is inexcusable and will be a real pain in Coach Stoop's side. Any time you head on the road in the SEC you need a full team to even have a chance against these guys. Georgia at the start of the season got completely depleted to the point that they were running a practice squad running back. However, like all teams it seems that they have really seemed to get their act together and started to play good football. This Bulldog team is no exception I am afraid. The offense is once again clicking and the defense is making big time plays. With that being said a lot of weight will be placed on freshman running back Jojo Kemp. With the dismissal of Sanders, for the first time a bulk of the running load will be on Jojo’s shoulders. Also it will be harder for Jalen because there will be one less target to throw to since Robinson's mishap. The already depleted and banged up receiving core lost another weapon. It will be a tough challenge for this offense, but it always seems that Kentucky finds a way to show up against the Dogs. The defense on the other hand has never really seemed to find a way to play against Georgia and the pro style offense. When we have played Georgia in the recent years it either seems to be a gun slinging match or a blow out in favor of the Dogs. Even dating back to the years of Andre Woodson when the defense was stout and the offense would get into a shoot out with Matt Stafford. That was a team that had had three future NFL starters on offense and Kentucky would still be able to play with them. It will be interesting to see in years to come what happens when we play Georgia because for the longest time we were taking their leftovers and now we are competing for the top guys in the state. The defense will play a big role in the decision for Saturday, but either way just remember that next year will be better than this year and we WILL continue to improve. Stay with these guys and stick it out for two more games. Go Cats @camyoung_KSR
