In honor of the 30 for 30 documentary "I Still Hate Christian Laettner" that aired Sunday night, I thought we should catch up on what Aminu Timberlake has been up to since leaving Kentucky in 1993.
Timberlake's most famous moment at Kentucky came in the Elite Eight game against Duke in 1992. Timberlake fouled Christian Laettner on a drive to the basket. After the ref blew the whistle Laettner stepped on Timberlake who had fallen to the ground. The two had previously got into it a little bit earlier in the game. This moment actually became the second biggest of the game. I will not mention the first. So if by some reason you don't know it, you can look it up yourself.
“My reaction was, he’s going to be kicked out of the game,'” Timberlake says. “He should have been kicked out of the game. Though we can’t say with certainty we would have won – who knows, maybe Grant Hill then takes over. But it definitely could have changed what transpired.”

Timberlake only played at Kentucky for two seasons before transferring to Southern Illinios following his sophomore season. He played in a total of 39 games and only scored a total of 38 points during his time at Kentucky. Frustrated with his playing time, Timberlake transferred to be closer to his hometown of Chicago.
Timberlake's career at Southern Illinois was about the same as Kentucky. After college, Timberlake went on to play overseas in Australia, New Zealand, South Korea and China but nothing ever developed into a successful basketball career.
Timberlake currently lives in Atlanta with his wife and three daughters. He works for a global software provider called PGi that specializes in audio and web conferences, webcasting, videoconferences and virtual meeting solutions. Timberlake has been with the company since 2011.
Timberlake also finds time coach basketball for local youth basketball clubs. He is a very devout Christian and an active member in the North Atlanta Church of Christ Member.
Aminu has been all over the internet today after Christian Laettner tweeted his first public apology to Timberlake for stepping on him back in 1991.

So #BBN, did you watch the 30 for 30? And if so, what did you think and do you still hate Christian Laettner? I still hate him and I wasn't even born until 1995.
