With the NBA Draft Combine now complete, ESPN draft guru Jonathan Givony has a fresh mock draft based on the latest intel and scouting. Kentucky’s top draft prospects Isaiah Jackson and BJ Boston both slipped from Givony’s last mock on June 22. Jackson, who did not participate in the Combine, is on the cusp of the lottery at No. 15 (Washington Wizards), while Boston, who went to the Combine but did not play in scrimmages, is firmly in the second round at No. 41 (San Antonio Spurs).

Jackson was No. 11 in last week’s mock and even though he’s down four spots to No. 15 in this version, the fact that he skipped the Combine is a good indication he’s got a guarantee from a team in hand. Givony thinks he’d fit in well with the Wizards.

“The fastest-paced team in the NBA would surely be attracted to the youth and upside offered by Jackson, a rim-running, lob-catching shot-blocker who dropped strong glimpses of offensive potential in his lone year at Kentucky,” he wrote.

In his June 22 mock, Givony had Boston going 36th to the Oklahoma City Thunder. This morning’s version has him going 41st to San Antonio, where he’d team up with two former Cats, Keldon Johnson and Trey Lyles. On Saturday, Boston spoke to ESPN’s Mike Schmitz about his pre-draft training.

“I’m focused on gaining weight, gaining muscle, getting stronger, being a consistent shooter,” Boston said in the courtside interview. “I take pride in my shooting so I wake up everyday and try to get 1,200 makes a day.”
