Though UK's performance yesterday left a lot to be desired, it offered one big bright spot: Jamal Murray was really, really good. Chris Fisher over at 247 Sports did us a favor this morning and compiled some accolades that Murray collected with his 33 point performance: - It's the second most points a freshman Wildcat has ever scored, behind Terrence Jones' 35 points in 2010. It is also the highest a Kentucky player has scored since then. - Murray is only the 9th UK player to ever hit 7+ 3s in a game. Jodie Meeks (10) holds the record for most 3s hit in a contest. Murray is tied for 4th. - He tied Jeff Brassow and Doron Lamb for second-most 3s hit by a freshman. Eric Bledsoe set that record (8) in UK's first game of the 2009 tournament. --- So, all in all a very good showing by Jamal. Now if the rest of the offense wants to get going, that would be nice.
