There are plenty of high-profile high school football games across the Bluegrass State set for Friday night.

Multiple ranked matchups fill up a loaded schedule, headlined by a Top 10 battle between No. 1 St. Xavier and host No. 9 Male. In central Kentucky, No. 18 Lexington Catholic will host No. 20 Covington Catholic while No. 14 Dunbar will host No. 14 Woodford County just a short drive away. Western Kentucky is going to be well-represented too with a matchup between No. 17 Paducah Tilghman and host No. 15 Mayfield, the latter of which was the subject of last Friday’s Kroger KSR Game of the Week.

But THIS week’s Game of the Week is headed to Danville to check out the powerhouse that is Boyle County, led by three-star Kentucky commit Tommy Ziesmer. As always, KSR’s Freddie Maggard will be on the scene to bring you all of the action. No. 3 Boyle County (2-0) is hosting an undefeated Danville team, but the score could look fairly lopsided in Boyle County’s favor by the night’s end.

Elsewhere, I will make the trip to Frankfort to check out another three-star Kentucky commit, Franklin County running back Kaden Moorman. The No. 24 ranked Flyers (1-1) are at home against the No. 19 Corbin Redhounds (2-0) in what could be a game that comes down to the final possession. Moorman has registered two rushing touchdowns through two games for Franklin County.

Unfortunately, due to a lack of available players on the side of Lafayette, Kentucky commit Ty Bryant and his No. 2 Frederick Douglass squad won’t play this weekend. It still counts as a win for Frederick Douglass, but the Broncos have still yet to be challenged through three games this season.

No. 12 Madison Central and Kentucky offensive line commit Malachi Wood should breeze through tonight’s matchup against a winless Madison Southern opponent. Out west, Wildcat wide receiver commit Jakob Dixon and No. 25 Pleasure Ridge Park head over to Bowling Green for a game against the unranked Purples.
