Wide receiver Kalil Branham is no longer with the Kentucky football team

by: Nick Roush01/26/21@RoushKSR
Wide receiver Kalil Branham is the first player to leave Lexington from Kentucky's 2020 football recruiting class. A UK spokeswoman confirmed to Derek Terry of the Cats Pause that Branham is no longer with the Kentucky football program. A three-star prospect from Columbus and a one-time Michigan commit, Branham signed with UK and enrolled for classes in the spring of 2020. In his only season in Lexington he did not play as a redshirt freshman. Without Branham UK's wide receivers room still has 16 scholarship players, including five additions in the 2021 class. Branham quickly endeared himself to Kentucky fans by frequently sharing homemade workout videos where he rigged up different types of equipment to compete against his brother, Eastern Michigan running back John Branham. He also was a big fan of KSBar and Grille's wings (#WingsWingsWings). It's disappointing that Branham did not work out in Lexington. Best of luck to him in his all future endeavors.
