Will Barton: Priority Numero Uno in 2010

by: Thomas Beisner05/04/09
will-barton  In lieu of a non-commitment or a commitment or whatever happened with him last week, the Baltimore Sun reports that 2010 stud guard Will Barton remains firmly in UK's plans for next year's class and, apparently, they remain in his. Barton is fresh off of scoring 18 points for the Balitmore All-Stars in a victory over the D.C. All-Stars and the five-star plans to transfer to either Brewster Academy in New Hampshire or Mountain State Academy in West Virginia.  But, the big news is that Barton says that UK's 2010 class is going to revolve around him: “They’re recruiting me very hard. I’m their number one option in the class,” Barton said. “Coach Calipari, I’ve talked to him numerous times. He’s a great guy. Everyone knows he’s a great coach. That dribble-drive offense is very attractive to a player like me, being 6-6 and [being able to] play the 1, 2 and 3 and put it on the floor the way I do and shoot and pass. So it’s a good fit for me, and we’ll just see how it turns out and where I go.” Go Cats.
